Capcom 4 maybe happening, now that Marvel has all the rights to its characters again and Square Enix’s Avengers game was kind of a flop. There’s been some talk recently of Marvel Vs. ![]() GC: We’re not allowed to say when the embargo is. PS: When can we expect your review of Super Mario 3D World? The most interesting episode is number five which didn’t feature the regular cast and sort of reminded me of the interview you guys did with Lorne Lanning, whereby the publisher and the developers have conflicting ideas on the direction of a game. The best characters were definitely CW Longbottom, a washed-up sci-fi writer and David Brittlesbee a weak, paranoid sycophantic executive producer. It was surprisingly good, there were a lot of cliches in the show but it did work for me. BALAN WONDERWORLD REVIEW EMBARGO SERIESI recently finished watching the Apple TV series Mythic Quest. I guess from Sony’s point of view these smaller games are a sacrifice worth making to stay on top in America but it’s a shame because nowhere should be dominated so completely by one company. That means that in a couple of years the Switch is probably going to be flooded with exclusive new Japanese games, which I can’t say sounds like a bad thing at all. Japanese developers, particularly those that make the more experimental stuff, usually make games for what is the biggest console in their market – which is clearly the Switch. Ignoring all the console wars nonsense (please let us ignore it) this is going to have a massive impact on Japanese gaming for years to come, perhaps all time. Riots over PlayStation 5s or not it’s hard to argue the fact that Nintendo has completely pushed Sony out in Japan and it’s going to be very hard to find a way back in. Not a single non-Switch game in the entire Japanese top 20 all year? Wow, there’s Nintendomination and there’s whatever’s going on now. BALAN WONDERWORLD REVIEW EMBARGO PLUSHopefully more games released through PlayStation Plus in the future. Didn’t think I would be that interested in the game but…Ĭheers Sony, for this cracker. I’m currently playing Destruction AllStars. GC: No, we don’t think anyone was, but we’ll try and have a review for it this week. PS: I gather you weren’t sent a review copy, GC? ![]() ![]() It’s not a game I’m super excited about but it’s a win in my book, which means Sony is three for three so far with their first party PlayStation 5 games. Thankfully they saw sense though and while I can’t see this being the next Fall Guy, which is clearly what they’re going for, I can see it slowly growing in popularity if there’s a steady stream of new extras. Any kind of money is crazy given the lack of content and the fact that it has microtransactions. BALAN WONDERWORLD REVIEW EMBARGO FREEThat’s fine, it is free after all, but I can’t believe Sony were originally going to charge £70 for this when it was still going to be a launch game. ![]()
